After just around the bend!

Hey folks, I hope to post my "after" closet with you in the very near future. I have been making steady progress over the past two weeks, so excited to share with you soon.

It is amazing how you can use wrapping paper:)

Found this adorable plate at the thrift shop and it will fill a spot next to my backdoor:-)
I hope it will give people a smile as they leave, because it sure does for me.

Oh, how I have dreamed of you:)

I can't believe it. I have found the bed I have been wanting for months now. Thanks Craigslist.

She will get a white paint job, but other than that perfectly fits the bill. I have toyed with the idea of having her refinished, but considering that the trim, etc. in my room will be all white I think I want to stick with that theme. What do you think?

The eBay post below is for two beds, but considering I only paid $100 for the bed, box spring, mattress and the owners helped me load it...I am very happy with my deal.

Merry Christmas to you!!

Hello all,

I will apologize for the blurry pics. I took them on my phone because I wanted to at least get something posted for Christmas.

Initially I wasn't planning on putting up my little tree mostly because my house is still a wreck from my move. That changed though when I was out doing some errands and "boom" the urge to decorate just hit, so here is few decorations.

My little manager scene from the Goodwill. Unfortunately, baby Jesus was missing, so I made do with a miniature baby I found at a dollhouse store;)

Hello Rudolph:)

Blessings to all! I am spending the time with my family in KY and I pray that your season is as blessed with family and friends as mine will be.

Luke 2: 8–20

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them,
and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:
and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy,
which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe
wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of
the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven,
the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying
which was told them concerning this child.

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things
that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

The start of a redesign process

Well folks headed to my cousins wedding this weekend, but thought I would leave you with a couple pics of the starting process of updating my space.

My landlord has graciously agreed to pay for the labor of painting as long as I buy the paint. In my book that is a great trade-off.

This space currently serves as my bedroom/living room, but when all is said and done it will be the living room/office.

My vision for this space came from this blog post Navy Living Room. My space has less windows and carpet, but I am really excited to see what else I can do with it.

I'm still alive thanks to Maxwell:)

Howdy everyone. I am still alive and well, but since my move to Ohio and starting a new job, June 1, I just haven't had time to post anything.

Decided I better get back in the groove, but we will see how that goes since I don't have the internet hooked up at my place yet. A simple process of buying a cord and unpacking the laptop, but it just hasn't been a priority.

I have been more interested in trying to get tons of weeds pulled around my rental home, getting garden advice from my aunt and trying to decide on paint colors. The house, price and country views are truly a blessing, but it needs the "Tonya" touch.

For now I will leave you with a picture of an amazing thrift store find my pops found me. Need to practice with measurements, since this morning my latte was a bit weak, but it was free, is 27 years old and still works great. As you can see he missing his little carafe, but you won't hear me complain as I have already made do.

Say hello to Maxwell the Espresso Maximus.
