Beatrice is happy and so am I:)

Well folks she is finally done. Haven't painted the word "read" on her yet because I am trying to decide what color to use, but at least you can see some before and after pics.

Close up of the legs & door handle. The gold looks dark here, but really turned out lovely like in the sanding pic above.

Sorry it has taken so long, but as my first real DIY I have learned a lot. The biggest being take more time to sand!! I HATE sanding probably like everyone else does, but if I had sanded a bit more it would've come out smoother. Ahh well they say third time is the charm. We will see if that holds true.

Working on this ugliness now, so between the base and the shade that will be 2nd & 3rd. Plan on making the shade my #3 charm:)
